Tungnath and Chandrashila

Tungnathand Chandrashila is third of PanchKedar Tungnath temple is situated at an altitude of 3680 mts above sea level.Tungnath is also the highest temple dedicated to Lord Shiva .From Chopta one can take a trek of 3.5 kms either on foot or take the help of pony . However the trek is famous for its breathtaking view of Himalayan throughout the route and for magnificence of nature in bugyal. Steepy trek to tungnath can be undertaken round the year except when there is heavy snowfall in the monthof December and January.
